About the Club

LNSC was founded in 1961 to provide instruction in the art of competitive swimming and has seen many successes over the years.

The aim of the Club is to provide instruction and facilities for swimmers, both children and adults, to reach their full potential, whether at local level, county level or to move on to national or international level.
All coaching for swimming is provided by voluntary ASA qualified Teachers and Coaches , who offer their time for the benefit of the swimmers and the club as a whole.

Administrative duties, organisation of galas and other vital functions of the Club are executed by volunteers whose support and committment is second to none.
The Club is affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association and the ASA via the East Midlands Region, and achieved the coveted Swim 21 accreditation from the ASA in September 2010, and again for Masters Swimming (Adults) in December 2011.
