Diddy League 2025 – Round 3 Report – Victory for LNSC!
On Saturday 21st June Leicester Neptune’s Diddy Team (swimmers aged 9-12) returned to Coalville for the final round of the 2025 Leicestershire and District Diddy League.
Neptune’s freshest faces really put on a show, lighting up the pool with fantastic swimming and a keen competitive focus – earning a stonking victory over some strong local competition.
We all expect Neptune swimmers provide vigorous support for their team mates. This event was no different – every swimmer in every race was enthusiastically cheered on, and the celebrations when the final results were announced were as exuberant as they were deserved.
For many of the team, it’s only been a couple of months since their first ever competitive gala. Their transition and development have been amazing to see. These previously nervous Neptune debutants now stood excitedly behind the blocks, goggles on, ready to race and full of confidence. The improvements in race execution – starts, underwaters and finishes – were clear and testament to their continued hard work in training.
Massive thanks to all Neptune parents, families and friends for their unwavering support. And to the Neptune team managers, poolside helpers and officials who ensure everything runs smoothly on poolside.
The competition doesn’t let up. Next weekend (Saturday 28th June) is Round 2 of the Club Championships, another great opportunity for our swimmers – both juniors and seniors – to perfect their racing skills.
