Report from Round 1 Diddy League at Corby
What a great result for LNSC at Corby – 2nd Place!
Not only did they all swim amazingly, there was so much energy and support for each other. One LNSC swimmer even gave her goggle to another LNSC swimmer during a medly event that they were both in – meaning she had to go without herself!
We hope all out swimmer enjoyed themselves!

Diddy League 2023 (12 & under) – Event Information
Leicester Neptune SC is competing in the “Diddy League” series of galas this year.
The Diddy League is a team-based set of three gala’s for swimmers 12 or under as at 17th June 2023.
LNSC is hoping to have both an A and B team competing. We have a strong set of young swimmers at the club and believe that LNSC can do well this year!

This is a fantastic opportunity for the younger children to experience team gala events.
Check your emails for swimmer selection and please complete your entry via google forms by 7.30pm on March 20th (or earlier please!).
LASA Mini Meet June 2023 – Event Information
Overview
The event is for 9, 10 and 11 year boys and girls as at 3rd June 2023. The event will be held at Braunstone leisure centre with warm up at 5.30pm and a 6.00pm start.
Swimmers are to swim all events at the Mini Meet and parents (if they wish) will be encouraged to develop skills as trainee officials and helpers if LASA pool side resources allow.
Events
The events are as follows:
- Event 1 100m Individual Medley
- Event 2 50m Backstroke
- Event 3 200m Freestyle
The meet will use electronic timing and will be run cardless using the Sportsystem Meet Organisation Software.
Awards
Points will be accumulated for each swim and an award will be presented to the top 3 boys and girls in each Age Group (9yrs, 10yrs and 11yrs) based on the total points achieved across the three events. Points will be awarded based on the World Aquatics points scoring system.
Entry Fee
The entry fee is £10.00 per swimmer, which covers ALL events.

Note From LNSC Head Coach
The aim will be to get as many LNSC 9-11 year olds ready for this as possible. You may not feel that your child is ready for all the events but don’t underestimate the progress that can be made with hard work and determination! We can do this!

Training Cancelled Friday 10th March 2023
Due to today’s adverse weather, travel has been tricky in the city, and since temperatures are predicted to drop, we are cancelling ALL training this evening for everyone’s safety.
Sorry for the short notice, but hopefully under the circumstances you’ll understand.
