King Of The Waves!
We’ve been very busy this last couple of days – but what a weekend it turned out to be!
First off on Saturday morning, Miné scored a county qualifying time at Chesterfield Open Meet, closely followed by PB’s for Neptune stalwart Paul R at the Etwall Eagles Masters Meet. Saturday evening saw the Neptune squad in the LASA Young Teams gala win the second division convincingly, going through to division one next year.
On Sunday, more of the team joined in the Chesterfield Open Meet. After winning a range of medals and achieving many PBs and nine new county qualifying times, we can cope with losing the half-time dance off!
The medal winners were: Lewis: 1st in 200m BK; 2nd in 50m Fly and 200m Free; and 3rd in the 50m Free. Chris: 1st in 200m Breast; 2nd in 200m Back and 100m Fly; 3rd in, 100m Back, 50m Fly and 200m Free. Katie: 2nd in 200m Fly. Georgia: 3rd in 200m Fly. Daisy: 3rd in 400m Free. Harry: 3rd in 200m Back. Charlie: 3rd in 100m Back. New county qualifying times went to Emily, Grace, Georgia, Luke, Harry, Chris and Daisy.
Today’s haul means that we are now up to 260 county qualifications from 38 swimmers!
