Penguins Open Meet on the 1st and 2nd October
I am organising for the members of LNSC to take part in the Penguins Open Meet on the 1st and 2nd October.
This is a level 3 licensed meet which means that swimmers can achieve qualifying times for the County and Regional Championships 2017. This meet is really good fun and is suitable for any member who trains regularly in the Evington Main Pool (except Friday 7-7.45) or at DMU. Swimmers must however be in the year of their 10th birthday or older. it would be great to see some new faces there!
Please find attached the
- LNSC generic entry form to be completed and returned.
- Leicester Penguins Meet information .
Since the meet is first come first served, it is essential that we enter the swimmers as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Clubs that run the meets expect large club entries (such as LNSC) to be made in one single electronic entry file rather than many small files.
Therefore the deadline for return of completed forms to me will be
- midday on Saturday 23rd July
Any forms not returned by this date will have to be entered individually by post direct to Penguins at a cost of 50p extra per event.
Please email the LNSC generic entry form to both juniorteam@lnsc.org.uk and openmeets@lnsc.org.uk
You should fill in the personal information and tick the evens to be competed. Keep a note of when the events are!
More experienced swimmers should aim to include a range of events (see below). Swimmers new to this should choose their favourite events to have a go at!
- At least one distance freestyle (200 or 400m)
- At least one other 200m form event (back, breast or fly)
- At least one IM event
- At least one event in each stroke.
Please refer to the attachment below for all the information you need. If you are prepared to be a poolside helper please let me know so that I can inform Helen (workforce) that you wish to help.
Parents who are licensed officials – please state which sessions you would be prepared to judge. If anyone is keen to become a qualified official, again let me know so I can pass your interest on to Helen (workforce) who will be able to help you further. We are always in need of more volunteers!.
